NORWOOD LAWN BOWLING CLUB is located in Dakota Park, at the rear of the parking lot of Jonathon Toews Arena. We have a very nice clubhouse with a kitchen, washroom and lockers. Our mailing address is 1202 Dakota Street.
We are an active club of approximately 100 members, with daytime and evening bowling each week. Daytime bowling begins at 12:45 PM in May and June, and shifts to the mornings at 9:45 for July and August. Evening bowling starts at 6:45. Teams are not registered ahead of time, but rather a draw is made each session, eliminating any need for spares. You just show up when it suits you!
Membership is a very reasonable $85.00/season, or $5.00 per game. There is also a discount for first time bowlers – $65.00 per year. New members are always welcome and instruction is provided at all times!
Norwood is a member of our provincial governing body, BOWLS MANITOBA INC. Bowls Manitoba runs various competitions such as a Singles League, Fours League, a new 3 Bowl Pairs league and many social tournaments and provincial championships, where many of our members take part.
